I am a University of York BA History graduate, and hold a PGCE with distinction in Secondary History from the University of Sussex. During my training year and five years full time teaching, I have worked in three schools and taught History at KS3, GCSE and A-level. In my last school, our History department secured the best History GCSE results in the county, and in the last two academic years, over half the students in my mixed ability class achieved grades 7-9. This meant that many students exceeded their attainment target by one or two grades. I have mentored trainee and NQT teachers, and been awarded SLE (Specialist Leader of Education) status for my leadership in the development of primary schools’ History curriculums. I have been working as a tutor since July 2020, mainly with GCSE and A Level History students.
