How much are the classes?

The classes are £2. They are booked in blocks- usually in blocks of 5 for £10.

Can more than one child take part?

Yep! The price is per family, not per child. They can join the class on different devices too- just open the Zoom confimation link from your email on each device.

Does my child need their camera on?

No. Children have the choice of putting their camera on or keeping it off. Similarly, they can choose to either unmute themselves to answer a question (when asked to by the tutor) or type it in the chatbox. Or they might just want to watch and not get involved. It’s completely up to them. Recordings will not include children’s faces but they will include their voices if they choose to speak.

What if I can't make the live class?

No problem- the recording will be added onto your class dashboard within 24 hours for you to catch up with. If you have missed the deadline to sign up for a live place, you can still buy the class recordings.

When do the classes take place?

The ‘blocks’ generally follow the half terms that schools do. You can see the block dates in our calendar. If any class in the 5 week block gets cancelled, it will take place in the ‘catch up week’.

Who teaches the classes?

You can see more details about who teaches each class on the ‘Meet the Teacher’ pages. Click on their face on the Timetable page to find out more. All teachers are either qualified teachers or ‘experts’ in their area.

Can I sign up anytime?

So that we can get all the class lists etc prepared, the deadline to sign up for live classes is always the day before the Monday of week 1. After this time, you can still sign up for recordings.

Where can I find the resources?

The resources and recordings all get added onto your class dashboard. Your class dashboards will appear when you sign in here.

Can we try a class first?

You can see clips of all classes on the ‘Meet the teacher’ pages (click on their face on the Timetable page). If you’d like to see a full hour class, please email Leigh on resources@the2poundtuitionhub.com and she can send it across. We do occasionally have free ‘taster classes’ if a session is brand new- please keep your eyes peeled in the FaceBook group.

Can I become a teacher in the hub?

Please see this page for more information about becoming a teacher in the hub https://the2poundtuitionhub.com/become-a-tutor/ .
