Hello!
I’m Andrew (Mr North when I’m teaching), and I teach CAD (Computer Aided Design) in the Hub.
I qualified as a primary school teacher thirteen years ago, and teach part-time in three Somerset schools, specialising in computing, DT and music (though I still get to teach other subjects sometimes!). I’ve also been running extra-curricular CAD & 3D printing clubs for the last seven years, which have proven very popular.
I believe that learning should always be enjoyable and I’m always inventing new resources to make my lessons as fun as possible.
I originally intended to become a product designer after leaving school, but I caught the music bug in lower sixth and ended up studying music at university instead. I’ve continued working as a professional musician alongside teaching since then, running a busy wedding band and freelancing with many other groups.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son Arthur.
